Operation: Eagle Eye
Operation: Eagle Eye
Thirty Minutes Before…Operation: Eagle Eye
“Five times!” yelled Director Angstrom.
“Yessir,” replied Agent Gemini, worried. Vex had avoided their last five missions against R.I.V.A.L. They’d never had so many losses before.
“Five,” he grunted again, staring at the stack of files. “It’s almost like Vex has a camera in S.E.C.R.E.T. HQ, watching our every move, reading all of our plans.”
Gemini’s eyes widened and she drew in a breath. Angstrom locked eyes with her and put his finger up to his lips.
THEY MIGHT BE LISTENING!
Angstrom dug into his desk and pulled out a pad of paper and pen. Gemini waved at him, shaking her head and tapping next to her eyes.
THEY MIGHT BE WATCHING!
Gemini held up a finger and raced out of the room. When she came back with a box of gadgets, she found Angstrom standing on his chair, looking in the light fixture for bugs.
She attached the omnidirectional antenna to the electromagnetic scrambler and added the radio frequency jammer. As the system began humming, Gemini checked the readouts, confirming any covert surveillance system in the office was inoperable.
“Let’s get to the bottom of this,” said Angstrom, hopping off his chair. “Agent recruitment call placed for…Operation: Eagle Eye.”
